Soldering!!

So I finally received the glass that I ordered! I am really excited and yesterday I had the whole day to myself and went all out! I created 4 pendants and a pair of earrings! My camera battery is dead, so I am going to wait until the battery is charged, then I take some photos and post them here. See you in a bit!

I have been busy trying to keep my shop stocked! Its a good thing because I have made two sales in the past two weeks! It's really exciting! Check out what I have today! Click here to go to my shop.

I can't believe its almost Friday! The weeks have been flying by! I am so excited because in less than two months, Michael will be coming home from school. He's graduating. I am ready because having a long distance relationship is really hard.

Anyway, I hope you love what I have in my shop, because I do! :-)

Ohh gas prices...

So I was at the gas pump and I was only able to fill my tank halfway. It's pretty depressing. It seems like it is skyrocketing everyday. Where is the stopping point?

Its like we are at the bottom of a water well struggling to keep afloat.

Anyway, on a positive note, I am so close to making my soldered jewelry. My dad found his old soldering iron, who knows if it still works. But I decided I am not going to buy a new one until I try out this one first. I pretty much have all the necessities - soldering iron, solder, flux, copper tape, I am just waiting on the glass. I ordered some microscope slides from Amazon.com - 3.75 for pack of 72! I think I am set for a while. Just have to wait until it arrives. But I think I am going to start with the pendants, since that is what I made in the soldered jewelry class that I took a few months back. Start with something I already know. I am also planning on hitting up the fabric store with a friend of mine this Saturday, I really want some Amy Butler fabric. I LOVE AMY BUTLER! :-) I really want to make a dress and some purses. Anyway, its getting late, time for bed!

Yoga

I love yoga, it makes me feel so great. I leave my yoga class feeling relaxed and anew. During my one hour yoga session, I was coming up with some new invitation designs. It's a great time because wedding season is almost here and I know tons of people are still looking for their special wedding invitations. Here is the latest, but its a sneak peak, because I haven't put it in my shop yet.

I also came home to some yummy soft serve ice cream, probably not the greatest thing to eat after an intense yoga class, but you know, who really cares. I am in the mood to create some jewelry, but I have a feeling that it will be too late, so maybe I will sketch out a design that I like and come back to it later. (I am trying to get in the habit of sketching out my ideas, then creating them, like I used to do)

So as for my latest wedding invitation design, here it is. Its very yellowy orange, and springy.

I really like it and I think the fern is a nice touch. Please let me know your thoughts. You can see it in my shop here.

I am also very excited that its Baseball season. I am a Cardinals fan. I love going to the games, especially to get a ballpark hot dog and nachos. Yum!

Well I am off to bed, I may dream about that ballpark hot dog.

I am very excited to announce that I was featured on someone's blog! DesignsbyOne featured me on their blog today! I really appreciate being featured. I have never been featured before. But the blog post talks about me and my etsy shop! You can view the article here.

I have been so busy lately. Last week my boyfriend was in town, which explains why I haven't posted or added new items to my shop. My whole routine was thrown off, but for a good reason. We were busy doing all kinds of stuff last week and we celebrated his golden birthday. As part of his golden birthday present, I bought him a star in the constellation of Draco (the dragon).


We went to a Greek restaurant one night, and the server did some really awesome fire tricks!
